How it works

We have developed and engineered 3 MailSort appliances that are installed in our secure datacenters for total redunancy should one of them fail, and for maximum speed ensuring we do not slow down email getting to your mailbox.

Stage 1: SMTP protocol and blacklist checks

Checks email sender is using SMTP protocol correctly.
Sender is checked against multiple real-time blacklists maintained by Internet organisations such as Spamcop, SpamHaus and CBL.
Sender is checked against local blacklists maintained by soVision.

Stage 2: Graylisting

Sophisticated delaying and re-checking tactics are employed to ascertain whether the email is spam.

Stage 3: Email content filtering

An intelligent heuristic checking system analyses the email for words, phrases and links that would indicate the email is spam.

Stage 4: Image scanning

Images within the email are scanned for words, phrases and other factors that would indicate the email is spam.
