Medical Information System for a large refining company
Scenario:
A refining company required a central system for managing results from blood and
urine tests on its employees. Due to the sensitive nature of the data, the
company was concerned about access to this information.
The system had to be login protected and centrally distributed to minimise
ongoing maintenance and management of the application.
Solution
After requirement gathering and analysis, soVision recommended the
implementation of an application produced using ASP.Net enabling a central
point of installation and distribution.
The application was developed using a login system to protect the application
from unauthorised access and all personal data within the database was
encrypted to ensure the data could not be browsed without using the
application.
The application was designed so medical staff could access information quickly
and efficiently, with the ability to enter information with minimum steps of
interaction. The system was also tailored to automatically produce letters and
reminders for employees who have had, or are due tests.
